Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Chiangmai Estate collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It follows Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), the PDPA.

What we collect

This website has no forms and no accounts, so you can browse it without giving us any personal details.

• LINE, WeChat and phone: if you contact us on LINE, WeChat or by phone, we see the details you share there, such as your display name, your phone number and what you ask about.
• Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs.

We don't ask for sensitive data such as health information or religion. Please don't include it in your messages.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions and arrange viewings when you contact us. This is a step you've asked us to take before a possible rental or sale, so we don't need separate consent for it.
• To keep the site secure and working, using server logs. This is our legitimate interest in running a safe website.

How long we keep it

• Messages and call details: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, then deleted.
• Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run the site for us:

• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Sanity, which stores the site's content. Your browser connects to Sanity to keep the pages up to date, so Sanity receives your IP address.
• Google Maps, which supplies the maps. A map loads only when you choose to see one; Google then receives your IP address and handles it under its own privacy policy.
• YouTube, if you play a listing video. Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

If you contact us on LINE or WeChat, that app's own privacy policy also applies.

Transfers outside Thailand

Some of these providers store data outside Thailand, mainly in the United States. We use them under their data processing terms, which include standard contractual clauses, and we only share what they need to provide their service.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask us to:

• give you access to, or a copy of, your personal data
• correct it if it's wrong or out of date
• delete it, or stop or limit how we use it
• send it to you or to another organisation in a common format

Send your request on LINE (cm.estate) or call 081-816-6804. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
