Mae Rim
Gardens and mountain views to the north.
Mae Rim is a district north of Chiang Mai, along Route 107 and the Mae Sa valley road into the hills. It's greener and more rural than the south, with rice fields, orchards and houses on large plots.
The Mae Sa valley has waterfalls, elephant camps and the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. Mae Rim town has markets, shops and banks, and Nakornping Hospital, one of the province's main public hospitals, is on the main road.
