Nimman
Cafés, condos and the university end of town.
Nimman is the area around Nimmanhaemin Road on the west side of Chiang Mai, between Chiang Mai University and the Old City. The main road and its numbered side streets (sois) are lined with cafés, restaurants, small shops and co-working spaces, and most of the city's newer condo buildings are here or close by.
Maya shopping mall stands at the north end, where Nimman meets Huay Kaew Road, and One Nimman is at the south end. Huay Kaew Road also takes you up towards Doi Suthep.

- Mostly condos, from studios to two-bedroom units, plus some townhouses in the sois.
- Getting around
- The Old City is about 2 km east, and the airport is roughly 15 minutes by car outside rush hour.
- Good for
- Walking to cafés, shops and the gym, if you don't need a garden.
- Keep in mind
- Traffic on Nimman and Huay Kaew Road is heavy in the evenings and at weekends.
