San Sai
Family homes in housing estates to the north-east.
San Sai is a district north-east of Chiang Mai, along the roads towards Mae Jo and Doi Saket. Much of it is made up of housing estates (mubaan) with family houses, often for less than similar homes in Hang Dong, with rice fields and farmland further out.
Maejo University is in the district, and the big shopping malls on the north-east side of the superhighway, such as Central Festival, are on the way into town.
